Novak Djokovic continues his reign as the World’s No. 1. The Serb beat British Andy Murray in the Australian Open to win his sixth Australian Open title.
The 28-year-old champ con 6-1 7-5 7-6 (7-3) to claim his title, tying the record of Australia’s Roy Emerson.
This brings him to 11 Grand Slam titles, leveling him with greats Bjorn Borg and Rod Laver.
Sadly for Andy Murray, as second seed he has now lost all 5 Australian Open finals he’s played, with four of them against Djokovic.
He headed straight to the airport after the final to return to London, where his wife Kim is. She’s due to give birth to their first child within the next two weeks.
Djokovic has now won four of the five past major tournaments, and is now vying to complete his career Grand Slam with a first French Open title in June.
