Lily Rabe, who made a cameo appearance in the last season of “American Horror Story”, is set to play a serial killer in the fifth season, “Hotel”.
Entertainment Weekly reports that the actress will “portray a famous murderer who has stayed at the titular hotel”.
This will be Rabe’s fifth appearance in the award winning television show. In the first season, “Murder House”, she portrayed Nora Montgomery, the original owner of the haunted house. After the murder of their child causes Montgomery to shoot her husband and herself, she returns as a slightly amnesic ghost.
Rabe played Sister Mary Eunice Mckee in “Asylum”, the series’ second season, a nun who transforms from a people pleaser to a murderer possessed by the Devil. The character also appeared in a flashback in the fourth season, “Freak Show”.
In the third season, “Coven”, Rabe portrayed Misty Day, a Stevie Nicks obsessed witch who, with her gift of resurgence, brought herself back from the dead after being burned alive.
The new season is set to premiere in October on FX.
